Blue Boy Band representing UK - Eurovision Contest
It’s no secret that UK hasn’t done so well in the past few Eurovision Contests. So, there will be a new Tactic.
The act that will represent us this time is already a well known boyband. Blue was formed in 2000 and consists of Duncan James, Antony Costa, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe. (L ro R above). They sing and perform very well. I enjoy their music and I am very confident that they will do the nation proud.
To their credit, they have sold over 13 Million Records and won two Brit Awards. Now, that’s a good track record.
Eurovision Executive Producer - Phil Parsons, is thrilled that Blue will be representing the UK this year. His Quote: ''We have a highly credible act who have had a string of smash hits in this country and they've also been hugely successful around Europe too."
.
This year the Eurovision contest will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany. Blue will be performing a song they wrote called “I can”.
The band are delighted to represent UK and feel it’s a great way to celebrate a decade together. So, please mark the 14 May 2011 in your diary – that’s the big day. As usual, it will be aired Live on TV.
Meanwhile, enjoy 3 of my favourite Blue songs below.
- Breath Easy.
- Sorry seems to be the hardest word. (duet with Elton John)
- One Love.
Good Luck Blue.
