Michael Jackson & Conrad Murray Trial: Doctor not Guilty
67
Most us will already be aware that the Trial for Dr Conrad Murray started yesterday 27 Sept 2011 and it is being aired live on Television. In UK, it’s shown live on Sky News early evenings.
Michael Jackson, King of Pop died in 2009 and his family are blaming his personal Doctor for being negligent. Dr Conrad Murray on the other hand, states that Michael administered the sedative drug to himself.

In my personal opinion – Michael was already dying. He was first accused of Child Molesting in the 1993 with Jordan Chandler. This knocked him and was extremely humiliating, but he was able to get through it. I don’t know why the Chandler family still took a huge pay out, if their son was “assaulted”
In 1994, the Chandlers' lawsuit was settled out of court with $15.3 Million to be held in a trust fund for Jordan, $1.5 million for each of his parents. Is this Justice? It makes me wonder why Jordan Chandlers Dad committed suicide in 2009….. Somehow didn’t get to enjoy that money!
Michael & Jordan Chandler
In 2003, Martin Bashir, interviewed him and twisted his words (by editing the interview, we found that out, when they played the full version and that upset many people) So, it appeared as if Michael slept with kids indecently in his bedroom and then BOOM! there was another court case.
The second court case was excruciating for Michael and he turned into a very frail man. Once even turning up to court in his Pyjamas. Heaven forgive Bashir!!
Even though, Michael was declared not guilty, it crippled him and that’s when he got hooked on sedative drugs - Propofol.

Turning up to Court in Pyjamas
Dr Conrad Murray
If the media and those who accused him falsely weren’t so cruel, he would never have been hooked on sedatives and he would be alive today. Dr Conrad Murray was a friend of Michael before being a Doctor. He lived with him and Michael’s kids are very fond of him
I am a huge Fan of Michael Jackson, but I feel Conrad Murray should not be crucified for his death. However, let's see the outcome of the Trial, which is set to last for about 5 weeks...

In my opinion many are to blame for Michael's death. People close to him who did nothing when he was spiraling out of control with the use of drugs. Families who accused him of molesting their children for money. Record companies who used him for profit, not caring about his health. His Father..... The people who called him whacko. I don't think Michael ever recovered from the molestation charges. He was such a gentle soul. I loved him dearly. I know he has finally found peace. My opinion about Dr. Murray, he is no different than the rest, money rules.....
I agree with you Lady_E....Michael was crucified by his success and those who profited from it because he surely didn't.;)
I agree with you, the court should be more sympathetic to Conrad Murray. After all, it's Michael Jackson who made the decision to take more medication than he should. I'm sure this topic will generate a lot of discussions on both sides. Take care.
Well,I'm not one on Dr.Murray's side, and I think now he's lying in an attempt to get off. He's now saying MJ injected himself. Well,he couldn't have injected himself with such a powerful drug if it were properly locked up in a safe place, like they lock meds up in hospitals, this is a hospital only grade drug, you're so sedated that a catheter has to be put in because you're knocked out.
Even the look on Dr.Murray's face to me say's I know I messed up.
I don't think he meant to do it,but because of his negligence it happened.
I trust that justice will be served.
Ironically, the child that started all the child molestation rumors was forced by his dad to do that, and his dad committed suicide later,I'm sure from the guilt he felt about what he did to his son and MJ.
Interesting hub!
I was lucky to see Michael Jackson perform live in Wembley on his BAD tour before all his 'troubles' and he was a consumate performer. Sadly for him, when you are surrounded by sychophants, and yes men then nothing is 'unavailable' including drugs. Like an alcholic, if you are dependent then you will find a way of getting what you want. Dr. Murray is not the only one who failed him. Sadly in Michaels life there does not appear to be one friend or family member who addressed his issues or persuaded him to go to rehab for the sake of his children - who seem to be the only people who loved him for what he was - their dad, not who he was - Michael Jackson.
When you have a responsibility to take care of someone, you can not let them use your dangerous equipment.
Some of you need to do some research on Propofol. Dr Murray is negligent in his care of Michael Jackson, PERIOD. Even if Michael Jackson was an addict it does not excuse a doctor or anyone in enabling the addict. If Murray had any balls he would have said "no" I am not going to do this (propofol) it is dangerous. Propofol has no business being used in any other setting other than a hospital. Money and covering his butt was more important than the life of Michael Jackson. That is a tragedy.
Sorry, Lady_E, although you made some valuable points and I agree with them but Murray supposed to be a doctor and in my mind he slipped up in too many things. He is not the only one in this case there are a number of others behind him and he doesn't know how to safe his neck while he does dare to open his mouth. Also his trial should have been second degree murder not manslaughter which leaves a question what is going on there? It will be the same as JFK, Monroe, John Lennon and many others. They never were really properly investigated. Now we get a tiny morsel fed about JFK and slowly a hint that the CIA done it but nothing concrete. The same will be here. In about 50 or so years we will get a few tiny pieces given.
@Lady_E...Nice to meet another writer from the UK. I'm enjoying Hubpages partly for the fact that so many writers are from other countries -- UK, Australia, Canada, India, etc.
It seems that Michael's life began to tumble after the child molestation trials and after he began taking pain killers following the commercial in which he was badly burned on his scalp.
It's ridiculous the way people create villainy against others -- because we don't know, do we?
I too believe Michael was wrongfully accused of crimes he did not commit. I did not know that Jordan Chandler's father committed suicide. Was that before or after Michael died? I also do not believe the Doctor killed him either, but with a license to practice medicine here in the U.S. they are responsible, so let's hope that the outcome is not to harsh.:) AEvans
I've been following this news.It seems that the verdict may go against Conrad Murray, even if he is innocent. As far as I Mr. Murry is concerned,he was a big fan of MJ.I think he is innocent. Thanks :)
I think it is so sad that we lost Michael. He was a true talented person. He had such a kind heart and he had been through some horrible stuff that no one should have to walk through. I hope he is at peace. I can picture him singing lullabies to the children in heaven whos life has been cut far too short like his. May he rest in God's loving arms! I voted up! Beautiful! I shared on fb too. :))
Lady E, (LOL) yea, I can see him do that! I wonder if he is allowed to teach them how to grab their crotch! I also wonder if it doesn't matter up there? The real cool thing is, no one is judging him because of the love in his heart for kids. Just because he was a man, doesn't mean he can't love~it's a miracle that he was the wonderful spirit he was. He could have taken another road, and it would not of been good.
Hugs! and blessings! :)

It's not Michael Jackson on the first sepia pic you use but E Casanova, an impersonator

I have not been keeping up with the trial, just been getting a little info from the local news. Think I'll log on to sky news to see more in detail, if possible. All I know, is that I will certainly miss him as an artist, my personal opinion is that there was none greater (we all are entitled to our personal opinion - no one else has to agree). Although I do realize that there are many great singers/dancers today. As for the trial, as you said we just have to wait and see, but one thing is for sure, Murray should not have had that one particular drug outside of a hospital setting (maybe there were others that should not have been either). And when you are friends with someone, if you cannot stop their self destruction yourself - at least report it, don't aid them in their destruction - and do not choose their money over their friendship - even if you lose both. Thoughts and opinions on this subject can go on forever - I only hope that now MJ can RIP and glad he left us with some of the greatest entertaining music/videos ever. v/r
