Artists pass on different messages in their songs. For some the lyrics are Inspirational and motivating. I share some below:

1) “There can Be Miracles” – By Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey

This song gives a message of hope for those hoping and wishing for the impossible.

2) “Wind Beneath my Wings” – By Bette Midler

If you’ve watched the Film: Beaches, then you might feel a bit sad listening to this song, otherwise it’s about the bond of friendship. Knowing someone has always got your back.

3) “I believe I can fly” – By R Kelly

This is a song that can inspire people to achieve their goals and make their dreams come true.

4) “It’s a Beautiful Day”- By U2

A song affirming you will have a great day, come what may. A nice up beat song. It will have the neighbours peeping out of their windows at you, as you sing it out loud at weekends.

5) “I hope you Dance” – By Lee Ann Womack

It’s like a prayer for kids, wishing them all the best in life.

Lyrics, “I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance, Never settle for the path of least resistance, Living might mean taking chances, But they're worth taking Loving might be a mistake, but it's worth making.”

6) “No more Drama” – By Mary J Blige

This is like an “I will Survive Song”. Affirming no more problems in life, but the beat of the song will definitely make you want to dance.

7) “Hero” – By Mariah Carey

A song that tells people to believe in themselves. So many people out there don’t live to their full potential because they are afraid of trying certain things – Lyrics: “A Hero lies in you.”

8) “I know that I can make it”- By Kirk Franklin

One of millions of Christian songs. I feel the words of this song go through me when I listen to it. They must have prayed over it, before it's realease because I always get goose pimples when listening.

Lyrics: “I know that I can make it, I know that I can stand. No matter what might come my way – my Life is in your hands.”

9) “You are Beautiful” - By Christina Aquilera

The video to this song gives the impression, it was written for people who are not happy with their bodies. People with Anorexia, Bulimia etc. Christina affirms to them that they are Beautiful in every single way. It’s not all about looks.

10) “The only way is Up” - By Yazz

This is a good one for Motivational Seminars. I remember it was played in NSA Meetings. This was a company that sold products. If you joined, you got a commission and they organised Seminars every month, which always had this song playing out loud in the auditorium.

11/12) “We are the World” and “Heal the World” - Both by Michael Jackson

I would love to play “Heal the World” to Osama Bin Laden and company. At the moment (October 2010 – UK and America are on very high Terror Alerts because there have been threats. I think if these songs are listened to regularly, people will find a way to make their own positive difference to the world. I’m grateful for the people who are, but we need more.

13) “When the going gets tough”- By Billy Ocean

A song motivating you to keep on moving on in life, even when you face obstacles and challenges.Lyrics: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”.            Billy Ocean won Lifetime Achievement Award, at the MOBO awards October 2010.

14) “Because you loved me” – By Celine Dion

Not just a love song, but one that acknowledges how a partner inspires and builds them. For some, their soul mate is a rock and this song is along those lines.

Lyrics: "You were my strength when I was weak, You were my voice when I couldn't speak, You were my eyes when I couldn't see. You saw the best there was in me, lifted me up when I couldn't reach, You gave me faith 'coz you believe. I'm everything I am because you loved me."

Count on me is a beautiful friendship song.It's a message from a friend, that they will always be there for you and you can rely on them.
