(Dedicated to Sam L)
An Angel helped me one day in May
It will always be a memorable day
If you hadn’t stepped in to rescue me
I’d still be shipwrecked, stranded at sea.
.
Facing the world every day with a brave Smile
I try to be positive but it only lasts a while
Then night draws near, up to the sky I stare
Saying to myself, “surely, God is up there”!
.
If you hadn’t stepped in, I couldn’t have coped
If you hadn’t stepped in, I’d have had no hope
and for once in a very long time
At the end of the tunnel, I see the sun shine.
.
My Prayer: May Gods face shine on you
and bless you and all the work you do
Thank you Bruv for coming through for me
I’ll remember this day for eternity.

Thanks for your comments Haunty. It was inspired by true events which happened this week. I was in a very difficult situation and a friend took me by the hand and pulled me out of it and even went a step further to do more. It was overwhelming and sometimes, you want to thank some one a thousand times but you still think its not enough. So I put it into a poem. Some people you look up to and they let you down but Sam has been a rock. OK Haunty, don’t get me going now or I’ll write a page in response to your comments. Lol.
I visit your page now and again to read your hubs, they are very interesting.
A good friend always loves to help. And this is a beautiful way to say thanks. :)

My spiritual mother (God rest her soul) was and is such a friend to me. Although she has now passed on, what she taught me will not ever leave me, rather that I pass on her treasure to others in their time of need. Beautiful! Voted-up/rated.

I wrote this poem when Solicitors gave me a hefty bill for a house I bought years ago. It was no where near their estimate. Lol.... but my friend came to the rescue.
