Poem - Music to my Ears
71
The Sounds of Nature
I love the sound of a baby laughing,
always brings a smile to my face.
Its so much better than hearing them crying,
then I’m tempted to walk at fast pace.
Love the sounds of birds singing in the morning,
so chirpy and music to my ears.
Always wakes me up from my deep snoring,
which gets noisier by the years.
Waves on the beach, Oh the sound of nature,
as I pick another pebble.
Hope one day the waves bring me a treasure,
maybe a blank cheque in a bottle.
I love the sound of rain falling outside,
looking out the window, its nice to see.
If followed by thunder and lightening, I'll hide,
and there’ll be no sign of me.
In parks, how lovely the sound of nature,
Tree branches swaying as the wind blows.
I often wonder why people sit under,
what they get up to, only heaven knows.
How lovely to hear the sound of Niagra falls,
looks so amazing and awesome.
Would love to jump in and haven’t got the balls,
but this could change, after some Rum.
.
Sounds of nature – how beautiful to hear,
instead of traffic, machines and phones ringing.
Sounds of nature, make you think so clear,
so try to keep on listening.

Lady E, thank you for singing the sounds of nature, one of Mother Earth's most wonderful gifts.
One thing I admire is the happy spirit of urban birds.
Even in the midst of urban noises they keep on chirping and cooing and whistling. They teach me to be happy in apparently negative circumstances (not that I've learned, but I try). Thank you for singing their praises.
