Stress Relief: Relax to the sounds of Nature
60Nearly everyone faces stress every week though it may be at different levels. For some its, travelling to work, for some its being at work, for some it’s having to attend to so many needs within the family etc.
It’s important we take a break from time to time but what do we do at this break time.
- Smoke?
- Listen to music?
- Watch Telly?
- Lie down?
- Go for a walk ?
- Have a drink?
- Eat? Drink?
- Have a bubble bath?
.
¸.·'★ One new way I have found, is to listen to Sounds of Nature.
Sometimes before I listen to about 10 minutes of sounds of Nature, I fall asleep before it finishes playing.
a) It could be the sound of Waves crashing on the beach.
c) It could he sound of birds chirping.
b) or the sound of falling Rain.

They are real recorded sounds of nature. If you also would like to enjoy the sounds of nature in the comfort of your home. Check out this website
http://www.relaxingnature.com or search for similar websites.
It’s even better if you have a mobile phone, particularly if your contract includes 24 hour access to the internet. You could open the website on your mobile and place it by you, while you lie down.
It’s very relaxing and calming.
Stay Stress-free. (◕‿◕)

I am going to bookmark this hub. Sometimes we need a few moments of meditation to quiet the mind and touch base with what is really important. Thank you for the great hub!
There's nothing i like better than listening to rain falling. I have one of those lighted pictures that shows a rippling waterfall with the sound of the water and birds singing, very peaceful. Thank you..Great hub..
I have a machine that plays some of these sounds and you are right, they are very soothing. Thank for that website. Good hub.
Great ideas LadyE there is nothing better to relieve stress than listening to the sounds of nature. I listen to the sounds of the rain forest and the sea gently lapping at the shore as well as other CDs that I have. The sounds are so exhilarating that stress levels are soon corrected.
Wow...this was sound great. I should give more attention to this to relieve my stress. But I love music very much as the media to reduce stress. But the nature give us so many resources. So, why don't we use this for kindness? I love the pictures above. Rated up and useful!

LadyE, Great helpful suggestions for stress relief! There is such a calm, tranquil serenity listening to the soothing relaxing sounds of nature! I enjoyed this! Lovely illustrations as well!! Thank You for sharing, In HIS Love, Grace, Joy, Peace & Blessings!
Yes, you give some good suggestions here but nothing beats the real thing. I live in remote Southern Spain on a piece of land I chose specifically for its natural sounds. No cars can be heard on our dirt track, only roosters in the morning, the bells of a herd of goats feeding on the hill side in the afternoon, and some horses in the field, with birdsong all around the wooden hut I live in around which I planted some 200 trees in our large garden of Eden. I feel very lucky and privileged to be able to live here, getting up at sunrise and going to sleep at sunset, without a television, just a computer and YouTube to keep me updated with grass roots, unadulterated news.
Hi Lady E! Great advice for stress relief! Thanks for sharing!
Lady_E: Thank you for this reminder. My favorite thing to do is to go through a slow stroll through a nearby Botanical Garden and simply watch and listen to nature, the birds flitting around, the squirrels and chipmunks playing tag with each other, the breeze blowing through the trees, the babbling of the stream that flows through, even the insects like the cricket. It all brings a peace to me and helps bring me back into perspective with what's important and forget what is not.
This is a very good and brilliant advice. These days are so much stress and most of it unnecessary.
I agree with you completely on this Lady_E.
I love the sounds of nature. Often, when I am out walking, I listen for the sounds of birds, leaves moving as the wind blows, or water flowing through the small river near where I live, or the waves at the lake front. It is very relaxing.
