Things NOT to do, when you meet your favourite Celebrity
68Who are Celebrities anyway?
I see them as people who are famous, loved, admired, rich, glamorous. Everyone must have a favourite celebrity they would like to meet. An actor? A singer? A Politician? A TV Presenter? I hope you get to meet yours someday and if you do, here are some tips on what NOT to do.
¸.·'★
1) Scream – No need to scream. Just stay cool, calm and collected. After all, they are only your favourite celebrity.
2) OMG – Some people say “Oh my God” about 20 times. You are not in trouble, so why call on God?
3) Body Autographs – Autographs are good. However it’s amazing the lengths that some people would go. Some fans ask for autographs to be signed on their arms, their boobs, their backs and more.

4) “I love You” – Now, why would you go and say that, especially if the person is in a relationship? Do you want to split them up?
5) Calling Friends – some like to share or brag on the phone with friends that they have met their celebrity. Some even go a step further and ask for the celebrity to say hello to their friends on the phone.
6) Cry – Keep hold of those nerves. It should be a happy day for you. No need for tears.
7) Photos – Take just one or two photos and don't give into the temptation of posting it on Twitter and Facebook.
Do you think you can manage to do all or most of the above?
..........because I can’t. ٩(•̮̮̃•̃)۶

It’s not everyday you get to meet a favourite celebrity.
Is there any celebrity that you would like to meet or have already met?

I always laugh when I think about the Celebrity rock star I met. We were at a bar, in the early hours, and I'd had a few by then. I pretended I didn't know who he was, and went up and introduced myself and we started having a conversation. Eventually I asked him what he did (For a living) and he told me he was a Singer. I replied casually, "Really? I can sing too! Would you like me to sing you a song?" and I started singing the Jewel song with the words "Please don't say I love you...I just wanna be with you allllll ways". He had a giggle, it seems like he thought it was cute. I said it was great meeting him, and ran off to continue partying with my friends. I cannot believe I did that, but I smile when I think about it.
I've never met a celebrity, but I've always promised myself that if I did I wouldn't act like that. =) However, if the day ever comes that I meet someone like, say, Gerard Butler, I would think that containing the OMGs!! would certainly cause me to faint. =) Nice Hub!!
Haha! The best of us find it hard to contain the excitement out of meeting a celebrity or an idol. This hub should be displayed somewhere on the red carpet at the Oscars or the Golden Globes. What a delightful read - funny and amusing, just the dose I wanted with my hot cuppa.

What a great hub;I am still smiling. This is what makes HP the great place that it is;we never know what we will be reading.
This one a true gem to vote up up and away.
Eddy.
I love this hub, so funny..I think i would have loved to meet M J and Elvis.. Also Susan Hayward and Clark Gable. I love the old classic movies and the stars in the past were really stars...Cheers
Really enjoyed this hub. I've met a few famous people. I've met Alan Hansen and Michael Owen.
Wow! She really grabbed those bums of Enrique. And, Enrique suddenly became looked so skinny beside her.
Awesome and Hilarious!
Absolutely right.A useful,interesting hub.
I'm never met a celebrity....yet. But I would be too shy to do any of the above. I'll probably admire from a distance and let the others do all the above. Thanks for the read and rated up.
Oh wow - great this was so clever and very funny. I read it several times!!
You made me laugh! And I am a hard sell! Awesome!
I'm not sure how I would react if I met a star, I too would probably look from afar and wonder if my eyes were deceiving me. But they are just people, after all, and your tips on what not to do will be helpful.
Okay, let's stop and think. "Who's Royalmark's favourite celebrity?" Well, say, Ngozi Chimamanda Adichie, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, etc., I'd not know what to do.
But if I see Mark Zuckerberg, I'll walk up to him and say "Hey! Whiz, how did you create Facebook?" and if I meet Enya or Nicole Scherzinger, I'll stay put because I might misbehave; if I meet Eminem, we'll have a chat for hours because I'd like to pick his brain and figure out how he thinks and writes those rap songs. :-D
I care about the autographs, they mean something to me. I'd also like to take a picture with them. But, shouting "OMG!", what's that for? Pretty sucks!
As unusual, this hub is short for a Lady with a golden pen in the UK but it's great, are you aware of that? It's precise, brief and spot-on. Kudos!
About the Enrique pic, I think that's one hell of a cute musician. But, if I'm popular, hmmm! kissing a random lady should be out of the question. Question is if I'll do that if a female fan just jumps from nowhere and starts kissing you. Haba! What do you think?
haha, great hub! Too bad I've never met a celebrity... :P

Cute one! Years ago I was working at Universal Studios and saw Debbie Reynolds heading for the elevator. I ran towards it and jumped on...and then became totally tongue tied! I wanted to say something clever but my best shot was "my you're a lot shorter than I thought you were". Needless to say, I couldn't get off that elevator fast enough and neither could she! I was very young then, and I hope I will do better now. But like you...I doubt it! Thanks for the neat hub!
I really wonder when I watch on TV that people meeting celebrity with no creaming or no OMG.I think saying OMG is must if you meet any celebrity :)
I've met several, and they're just people like everyone else. Most are very shy although it wouldn't appear that way from the media exposure they get. Great Hub!
Hi Lady_E,
No photos or autographs, I met them all on a professional level not as a fan so that would be a big no-no!! Cheers ;0)
This is a good hub. I only have met one celeb. But he was my childhood hero (James Drury-The Virginian)who I truly admire. Let me tell you the shy person I am had no problem asking for one of those cowboy hugs which he gives out freely to his fans. I'm sure not many celebs will do that.
I've met a number of celebrities, nearly all accidental. Here are two of them:
- Leonard Nimoy, the original Spock in "Star Trek." As a teenager I was on an outing with my father in a Hollywood restaurant. A couple of girls went whispering & giggling hysterically down the aisle over an autograph in their hands. I was embarassed for them. We were huge Star Trek fans, though, so my Dad urged me to get one. I demurred at first, but then stood and composedly walked toward them, paper and pen in hand. The minute I got there, I started giggling too. Jeez.
- President Reagan. Truly composed this time and much older, I met him with a group of fellow Peace Corps volunteers in Grenada, West Indies. I was into photography by then, so moved around and through the group, taking photos of my friends and him, some really nice ones. Then his PR people took a group photo with him standing in the middle under a banner we'd made and he flew off. I'd promised all my friends copies of their photos, but when I went to have them developed, discovered the film had not advanced into the camera at all. No photos, a bunch of apologies, and huge embarassment.

This is a great hub! The only famous person I ever saw was Monty Hall, when I worked in the airport...and my friend screamed, "HE LOOKS SO OLD!" There's another thing NOT to do, I guess...this is a fun hub...I love it!
