Loading... If you open a Hub several times a day, will the Hubscore drop?

Not positive either but I believe that if you're logged in, no. I've checked my stats after opening my own hub and it doesn't seem that my opening it registered. Not sure about when you're not logged in but I'm in and out of my hubs all the time and sitting at 91. Not a 100 but getting there. :-) I too will follow for a more confident answer.

I don't think that it affects the score as I am in and out of hubs regularly, responding to comments and changing things all the time. My score seems to remain pretty constant.

That is a good question and one to think about. I'll be following as I'd like to know the answer, too.

Many times I have wondered about this prospect. Most of us do this with valid reasons, but will hubpages treat this as a case where we, as authors, are deliberately trying to boost traffic figures. I am not sure about the effect on hub score by author's visit. But to approve and reply to comments, authors need not visit their hubs. It can be done by using 'comments' tab in 'my account'. Better safe than sorry! Hope this is helpful.

Likely not, but even if it does, I doubt it would be a very high factor in the equations. As hoteltravel mentioned, you no longer need to open your hubs to respond to a comment. However, this is fairly new. If we had to go to our hubs not that long ago to reply to comments, then it is reasonable it would not affect our scores. The question, then, is will HubPages now start docking Hubscores for excessive opening of one's own hubs and has this been implemented yet?

I don't think it impacts it from what I can tell. My guess would be that it recognizes the hubber's IP and doesn't count those hits.

Almost two years back I also felt the same and wondered. I guess you are not the only one who may be thinking so but previously I used to spend a lot of time in the forums and wondered if that affected my Hubscore too. I really do not even know what negatively affects hubscore other than prolonged inactivity. I will be watching. Thanks.

Im pretty sure it does count hits when you open!? But i have no idea if it affects your score!

It may not affect your score, but it does count your visit and your own comment which gives you false visit and comment counts. Greg

I do not think how often you open a hub effects the hubscore. I have been in and out of hubs a lot on certain days and have seen it go up, but never drop.

I think it doesn't matter at all. I visit my hubs several times a day. This is important to check the stats as well as answering the comments of your hub visitors. So Hubpages should not discourage this activity by dropping the scores.

I don't think the hubscore is affected by the number of times the hubber opening his or her own hubs. I think the score is based on the hubber's performance, like your involvement and your contributions in the hubpages community.

Technically, the Hubscore should not be marked down if the moderator itself 'Hops around the Hub' ..

Visiting many times on the pages in a particular session does not matter to your score.
